Your tour commences from Cochin as you drive through the green and picturesque terrain of tea, rubber, coffee and spice plantations into the heart of the cardamom hills of Thekkady (178 kms. - 4 to 5 hours drive). On arrival you will check into your hotel at 12 noon for 2 nights stay. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore this little village of Kumily or rejuvenate your mind, body and soul with an Ayurvedic massage.

This morning travel to the heart of the 780 sq kms. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary situated on the banks of Lake Periyar. Proceed on a boat ride of the lake and see plenty of wildlife such as elephants, bison, sambar, wild boar and spotted deer. The sanctuary in addition to 49 species of animals has 246 species of birds. The afternoon is free to visit the spice auction center and stroll through the little spice market of Thekkady.
